MaineJed Posted July 21 Posted July 21 The smoke test confirmed the manifold and/or gasket is leaking. Torn into it this morning, waiting on a new gasket that should be here tomorrow. Anyone want to buy a good EGR or Reed Valve let me know. Quote

MaineJed Posted July 23 Author Posted July 23 Yes it came out rough, most want you to take out the PS pump but you can snake it around. It is a lot easier if you unhook an A/C line to get to the middle bottom bolt. Had to cut 2 of the bolts that hook on to the crossover pipe, but easy studs to replace. Ssunrader Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Make sure and check the manifold for warping. Did the delete kit come with a resistor to trick the ecu into thinking it has a preferable signal from the feedback temperature sensor? Usually you want some way to reduce or eliminate any bad effects from removing it, ie a lean condition. Quote

Ssunrader Posted July 26 Posted July 26 (edited) Glad to hear it’s running better. If you can find a better catalytic converter, the factory setup is pretty restrictive. The concern I had with that was more about reducing the heat in the heads more than performance/fuel economy but it can be a nice improvement. Edited July 26 by Ssunrader Quote
