I have used 12 sheets or so of 1/8" mahogany for my entire inside ceiling and walls, which I chose over Luann because it seemed stronger. While looking for this material, I checked out some composites , but shipping 4X8 sheets of anything made it simply insane to consider. I was able to drive 45 minutes to pick up the mahogany. If you consider something like this, be sure to call the mfr and see if they have any distribution near you. Looks like a serious contender, though! Quote
