We have a 2.2 diesel turbo motor and it's a bit under powered on hills  I would hate to think what it would go like without the turbo. Only way it would go faster up a hill would be on the back of a semi trailer When we go for drives we count how many times we get passed by trucks Only passed 2 out of hundreds of trucks but it's still a fun little motorhome  We love our little winnie

With my 3.4 and 4/88 gears I have no problem going up the mountain grades in Oregon in third gear. I drive like I am on vacation, never pushing it. I was a truck driver for 45 years and know what it is like to go up a grade at 10 mph. I do pass all the loaded trucks now where I didn't when I had the 3.0 and 4/10 gears, and had to use second gear. I also curse in overdrive at 60 to 65 with ease.
