MaineJed Posted November 13 Posted November 13 (edited) Decided that Maine was too cold for the motorhome on Sunday so I drove it to Gulf View RV in Punta Gorda FL for the winter. I’d say I averaged 10.5 mpg coming down. Didn’t take it easy on it, 500 miles the first afternoon, 700 miles the next day then another 558 to finish the 1758 mile journey. Here’s a pic at Buc-ee’s. They don’t allow over night camping fyi. Edited November 13 by MaineJed Another pic Quote
IdahoDoug Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Nice! Those are big mile days most are proud of accomplishing in a car! Being able to just spontaneously weigh anchor and head south is a nice feeling of freedom, I'd bet. We experience it in small ways during summer when we decide at noon on a Friday we're heading off in our Vanagon. Just pack the cooler, toss in lawn chairs and turn the key. The essence of owning an RV. Really looking forward to upping that game in the Sunrader next summer! Quote
