Dolphin parts

Hi friends,

I'm new to the forum and have a question on camper parts. How do I find replacement parts. I'm in chico, california. Currently I need a right tail light assembly for my 1984 toyota dolphin. Can anyone help me or advise me on where to turn or who to search out?

Thanks for any help,

dps

Think of your dolphin as a 1984 Toyota truck with a camper attached. Makes ordering mechanical parts much easier.

Rock Auto has a great interchange data base. Or go to any auto parts store and they can help you.

Measure your wheel base. If it's anything longer than 112 inches the chassis was lengthened by Dolphin and the rear emergency brake cable is custom. The front section will still be standard Toyota size. lots of local shops can make a cable for you but your going to need to know how long it is . I don't know if this is possible but if by some chance the wheelbase comes out at 135 inches an 86 and newer extra long chassis Toyota cable should fit

Take a picture of the wheels you have and post it up. If you want a direct match that is…

I have two Mini Cruiser wheels left. But they are about $125 each just in shipping (to the lower 48).  If you are local to me, I will give you one with a tire installed. To ship them though I have to get the tire dismounted.

Your Warrior “should” have had a spare mounted underneath though. Back hand side to the right.  At least the one I got all my 7 wheels off of had one there.  It is well hidden unless you specifically look underneath it. If it isn’t there, hopefully you at least have the holder for it still…

Junkyards are always a good choice. Any usually way cheaper.  I think I only paid $50 a wheel. But YOU will have to do some homework and searching there. These do not come up often.   I had a bunch of my local car friends keeping an eye out for me. It took over a year for a hit. My old boss happened to find them, called me from the junkyard, and then gave me the next day off just to go get them.

Within a short time of arriving, I had to chase someone else off who wanted to grab the wheels.  That was an expensive day!  But i also grabbed the parts to convert the front end over to run the dually wheels. My Mini Cruiser came with 5 lug standard Toyota wheels in the front.
