Gypsybrn Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 As an ex-trucker, I had dogs with me and left them in the truck when I went for a shower or food. Now I have cats I plan on bringing my three older boys with me they are cuddly. They don't go outside ever so yes air conditioning is required. Quote
linda s Posted May 25, 2024 Posted May 25, 2024 Dogs know they are home because it smells like you. Cats on the other hand do not. They have been known to wander off even when someone moves to a new house. A house that is constantly moving might be a problem. As far as never going outside, you will have to be very careful to make sure they don't. They do have a mind of their own. Linda S Quote
REALLYRURAL Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 My cat Ziggy has been traveling with me for 8 years. A the end of the day she comes home to the rv and sleeps with me. She has jumped ship a few times and been left behind at campgrounds for 2 to three days before I could return. Upon return she allowed me to pick her up and smacked me in the face with a paw full of claws. Since she has never let me out of her sight and comes when I call her. Quote
Gypsybrn Posted June 29, 2024 Author Posted June 29, 2024 "I love how obedient she is when called. My Cats will stay in the back of the camper. I'm planning to build a plywood wall with a door in the middle to separate the front and back. I also intend to install a bar across the motorhome door so it can only be opened from the inside. I adore my boys, and I won't let them get anywhere near the outside." Quote
