One of the previous owners painted (with a brush) a thick white coating on the roof. Brush strokes and globs everywhere. It is not glossy, more chalky than anything and it holds dirt like crazy. linda s Posted March 22, 2022 Share Posted March 22, 2022 The glops and brush strokes makes it sound like standard roof coat. Best way to get if off is a putty knife and carefully scraping it off. Use plastic one if possible. Anywhere you get through to the fiberglass, brush on some goo gone to help release it from the surface. Heat from sun helps goo gone work. At some point you might find yourself peeling large sheets off.
