Well the first part is done, a name, so the build is next.

Wonder what a production version would cost

Being retired it's going to be more than I will ever pay. I also want a little more room. I got a 20 footer and would have been good if I had found an 18 foot unit but I would have liked to see it made from a 2 door and more room in the back. Not that it matters because as I said, I won't be buying one but it is cool to see this one being made.

Construction looks very similar to my Galavan. Square tube frame with a fiberglass shell added. There’s really not that much weight involved. The heavy duty Toyota rear suspension should be up for the task. My 16’ Galavan fully loaded clocks in at 4200 lbs. single rear tires work fine.

Good eyes. But even if twice the weight of equivalent fiberglass panels, it’s still a light construction for the suspension. The rear door setup is also similar to the Galavan.

Im interested in seeing what comes out of this. Having access to toyota engineers and CAD data is a big win for drivability and loading. I bet the designers are running FEA and getting a bit nerdy with it, we all know what happened the last time toyota provided cab chassis without adult supervision. I've seen a few videos of TruckHouse and it looks like it sways and is a bit top heavy, but this is all speculation. But, I also applaud TruckHouse for knocking out the design and building it. Im not sure how many units TruckHouse has produced but id bet they are iterating each time they build one.
