TimH
I have a 1983 Toyota Sunrader 21 ft RV. The rear is sagging quite low. I was told to do the following: * Get 4x4 leaf springs with extra leaf * Get blisten air shocks * Get airbags I am trying to save money so do not want custom made leaf springs. Can you please give me specific part #s, links, and costs please? Thanks! -Tim Edited September 11, 2021 by TimH Needed images
john*thomas
Do you have a spring shop anywhere near you? They can re-arch and add a leaf if need be in less than an hour and it's not that expensive. On another application I re-arched a set myself. Took two days. Next time I took the springs to a spring shop. For what they charged I said I would never do it myself again.
linda s
First figure out the problem. Are your leaf springs flat. If so shocks won't fix it. Springs would be my first choice. Can you do the work or do you have to go to a shop. The Old Man Emu springs are fairly cheap but remember you need new bushings too. Amazon.com: ARB CS010R Old Man Emu/Dakar Leaf Spring : Automotive Air bags are about the same but they are not made to make up for completely shot springs. I also can't find airbags for your year motorhome. Doesn't mean ones for later models won't fit I just don't know. I do see some spring shops near you. Never hurts to ask for an estimate. john*thomas
Same answer as before. Just saying, that is what I would do. A good spring shop can tell you if yours are any good or need replaced. If all they need to do is add a leaf, it's not all that expensive.
