htioki
I am trying to replace the trim/molding/seal between the front side of the coach and the underside of the overhead. It's the disintegrated plastic trim in the photo. Any ideas of where I might find this part and how to replace it?
linda s
Clean the old stuff out and seal the gap with RV insert trim used inside out. Apply with white adhesive caulk. I like flex glue. Sticks fast and will hold in place white drying. Make sure you clean the edges with wet rag. Linda S

Do you mean something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Insert-Options-Length-Aluminum-Pieces/dp/B081VVXWJR/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=RV+Roof+Edge+Molding&qid=1608303718&sr=8-
linda s
No like this Amazon.com: RVMATE RV Vinyl Insert Trim, 1 Inch Wide, 25 Feet, Heavy Duty Trailer Trim for RV Camper Travel Trailer, RV Trim Molding, White: Automotive See the curve? Installed with the curve to the inside will give you a nice cove finish. Very flexible so how curved depends on how much you press it into the corner Linda S This stuff is already all over your RV inserted into metal trim. It covers the screws holding the metal trim in place. Go look. I'm just suggesting another use for a common item.
linda s
It comes in several colors too. The old stuff was white but your camper siding is beige. This looks like a closer match to your camper RV Vinyl Insert Molding Trim -Camco- 1"W- 25'L-Beige (rvpartscountry.com) Linda S
neilp
I have the exact same issue. I'm planning on trying some of this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/InstaTrim-Flexible-Self-Adhesive-Caulk-Solution/dp/B07Q6LCCH6/ It is also available at Home Depot. Any one tried it? linda s
It certainly looks like a quick easy fix. My only concern would be how long it would last on an exterior vehicle location. Wind and rain at 55 or 60 miles an hour is what some people might call sandblasting. Linda S

I saw that too, but then I am not sure if the end would transition well to the outer trim. I am also considering this: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Magic-White-Bathtubs-and-Walls-Bathtub-Sealer-Trim/1000192421
linda s
Please don't. I have tried to use this stuff in my house and I ended up peeling it off and caulking instead. Flimsy junk Linda S
WME
Not sure about this stuff for rv use, but I use it a lot for crack repair. It should great between the cab roof and the bottom of the cab over. A simple razor blade jig will give you 1/2 and 1/4 shapes. Glue with calk and and after it sets the a finger fillet to make it more water proof. It comes from 1/4" to 6" dia. Its closed cell foam so it won't wick water. Did you mean to add a link so we can see what this stuff is? And why do I have to filet my finger to make it waterproof. Linda S
WME
OOPS thought I did. Its called "backer rod" and is used in repairing cracks in concrete...https://www.bestmaterials.com/Backer_Rod.aspx. The stuff is waterproof. But water can/will get between the foam and cab. So after the calk on the back sets a fillet of calk at each edge will keep things dry.
