1976 Toyota Mini Mirage 20R, rear axle replacement

Recommended Posts

Weight over rear axle will determine if you can use singles. Get the home weighed, both total and rear portion.

The strongest tire that will fit your rear wheel openings is rated for about 2K lbs. per tire (8 ply). So do the math first. If under 4K in the rear, singles should work.

It  will never be worth what you paid for it and what you are going to put in it.

SOO the only thing to do with it to recover your lost $$ is go camping a bunch and enjoy it.

The 20R's are great motors especially the 4spd manual, given you have a 16 footer the 20R will have the power. Fix the coolant leak and fix it up to the point of taking it our for some enjoyment like what WME says. I have several issues with my rig, minor at best but only address one at a time so it doesn't prevent me from getting out. That's the point of having these rigs, right?

Welcome to the club!

Cheers!
