  1. I have a 1985 toyota dolphin 4 cylinder and I purchased a manual on dvd it states not to tow a car. I have a honda rebel 250cc and want to know can I tow it on a small trailer? I was told that its about 300 lbs, or can I put it on a cargo rack on the back like they use for powered carts ?I'm know not sure if that's harmful. I'm driving to Az from NH and planned on getting around on it while rv is parked. I don't have much other than clothing and some dishes I'm bringing along.
  2. Hi all... new here, new to RVing, new to forums. We may be getting a 91 Warrior and will want a trailer. I see no good way to attach a hitch looking underneath but have read many people do tow with these little Toyota. I know beefing up the frame will be necsisary but would like to see, hear from someone experianced. TIA
  3. I have read a number of discussion threads on towing and frame reinforcement (along with pictures of towing cars with toyhomes!) but have seen very few pictures of what work was actually done to make that happen. Does anyone have any pictures to share? Just to say, I have no interest in towing at all, I only want to safely attach a hitch so that I can put a cargo carrier on the back for some wood, bikes and maybe a cooler (as we all know there isn't a lot of storage in these RV's), about 200lbs tops including the hitch, cargo tray and everything on it. I would love to see pictures of how hitches were mounted as well as how frames were reinforced for towing to get some good ideas on how I can attach this without droping the grey and black water tanks (I'm afraid of welding too close and melting holes in them) but there isn't much room along the extended frame rails back there. I'm including photos of the frame rails back there to illustrate exactly what I'm talking about.
  4. I know this topic has been discussed in the past but I would like to ask again with a different senerio. I am buying a 1983 Toyota Dolphin, it has the upgraded rear axle, and I am going to be moving from California to Wisconsin. I have a 1996 Honda Civic CX with a gross weight of 3,295lbs. Front weight is 1750lbs, rear weight is 1545lbs. I need to know if it is possible to rent a tow dolly from U-Haul and tow my car behind my Dolphin. From what I have read, this is not possible but I figured it doesn't hurt to ask. The Dolphin is a 4spd with a stock motor.
