  1. I found this dolphin for sale and it is in great condition, however it is listed for pretty cheap. After doing some research I found some things about recalls on the axles of 1984 and prior and some of the 1985’s. This one is a 1985 and I was wondering if anyone could tell from the looks of it if it’s a recall or not. If so, would it be a bad decision to buy and is there any way it could be fixed?
  2. Just a heads up to you Honda 2200 generator owners there is recall for fuel leaking from the shut off valve.
  3. Recently I became aware that the original 2-way Norcold 875EG2 in my Warrior was subject to a manufacturer's recall for "Smaller Gas Absorption Models." Apparently the rubber seals inside the gas valve can begin to leak over time, causing a fire hazard. (Probably old news to some of you, but first I've heard of it!) https://www.thetford.com/customer-support/recall-information/ I reached out to Norcold/Thetford with the unit's SN#, and they confirmed that it does need to be addressed by a "qualified service center." Anybody have experience with this? Painful or painless process? The refer looks a bit rough of course, after 27 years, but it still works on LP and AC! Don't want to end up with a big brick in the coach, if something goes wrong...
  4. Okay, so I decided not to go with the 1978 Chinook. Too high of price for the work that would be needed. I am now looking at a 1976 Scat. It has dual tires in the rear with 5 lugs. I have been reading about them on the discussion board. I do not know yet if the rims are welded together. The seller said the Scat was not included in the recall, but I saw someone mention the recall was for ALL RVs. The seller is not the original owner. Can someone tell me if they know where I can go to verify whether or not I would need to swap out the axel? Could I simply change it to single wheels? If so, would the size of the tires be the same as those on the front or should they be wider? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
