  1. 82 keystone not a motorhome anymore but it was at one time lol located in marshallville ohio
  2. Okay so I found out today when I got the title that my truck was actually a keystone not a chinook. But still the same thing. Pretty excited about starting on this thing. Just wondering what wheels are the same as these since it's only 5 lug. And was figuring I may be able to put a jeep axle under the front and get me a set of matching gears for the rear or just run a jeep axle on the rear and fabricate everything I need to. Didn't figure it would be that hard.
  3. Okay thanks. That helps alot. The only thing I was gonna try and avoid was the transmission and transfer case swap. I was planning on using a divorced ford t case and just making driveshafts. And the fabricating spring hangers and stuff won't be a problem for me considering I work in a fab shop and can get and make anything I need there. The only thing I'm having trouble with is how to do the steering.
  4. Yeah I figured it wasn't. I just know how hard it is to find a good toyota frame which is why I wanted to attempt to swap everything onto mine.
  5. I have an 82 Chinook with the camper removed and a regular bed in place of it. I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to convert it to 4x4 by using my body and frame. I essentially just want to put a solid axle (and steering set up obviously) and a t case in my truck. Would anyone know the easiest way of doing this if there even is one? Below is a pic of my truck.
