  1. Mine comes up as 4800 lbs on the door plate and it is listed as a truck through my insurance company
  2. I can only find two that I can pull to this site.
  3. I just ran across this post. I would love to see your project as well ! I live close also, just north of Salem. I have an 85 sunrader 4x4, 86 turbo custom cab and a sweet stock 85 4runner. So cool to see all of the Toyota lovers on this site!
  4. I use Amsoil engine and transmission flush. I also use the synthetic trans fluid as well.....Best on the market from what I have read up on.
  5. Hello all, I have just bought a 1985 Sunrader 4x4 a month ago. Willamette valley oregon is where we are. All in all it is is great shape, fixed some dry rot around the rear windows and frame work for the dinette, sealed all the roof vents and windows. New tires all around, LED lighting inside, curtains and looking at other things that may be a concern. LED tailights, running lights, deep cycle battery, floor support and Amsoil all throughout are on the bucket list. I bought this for my granddaughter and myself to enjoy the great outdoors. I really like this forum, all of the great stories, ideas and help! 20160408_151414[1].jpg_
  6. Portland Craigslist is loaded with Sunraders for sale!
  7. Hello all, I am looking for some help in tire size for an 85 4x4 Sunrader. 15" rims all around. Can 235 75 15 fit. 225 75 15 on it now. I am having a hard time finding good weight ratings on 225 and I am hoping to find something in a all terrain. This is the best tire I can find, thoughts? Hankook DynaPro ATm Tire 235/75R15XL
  8. The Sunrader is an 86 22re auto. Greg, your old Sunrader extra cab is they only one ever made correct? I do realize that this 4x4 motor home is going to be heavy but I can dial the rear suspension in with adjustable shocks for better stability. This Rader will be for camping with my little granddaughter, snow skiing and hanging out at the beach. The turbo custom cab I have has been switched to a 22re but the turbo 5sp. is still in it. I'm not much of a turbo fan anyway.
  9. Hello, I'm John, I am a grandpa raising my granddaughter she is 4 and I am looking to buy us a Sunrader. We are ready for adventures! Currently looking at a 1983 2wd Sunrader in need of a complete interior remodel. 22R runs great, 5sp tranny and has one ton floater axle in place....really cheap to purchase. I am also looking at a 4x4 Sunrader in really good condition and floater axle in place as well. I am very interested in the 4x4 and I am flying out to see it this weekend. I am extremely excited to have this opportunity at such a rare and grand Toyota! As my title says I am not new to Toyota, I have owned 13, 1984 4runners, 3, 1985 4runners, countless 4x4 pickups. I currently own an 1986 Toyota turbo custom cab that I have put a 84 straight axle in, upgraded the interior with SR5 4runner seats, inclinometer, tilt steering and intermittent wipers. My other is my daily driver 2004 TRD SR5 4dr Tacoma. ARB bumper, 8000lb Warn synthetic, Dick Cepek extremes and Old man emu 2" lift. I have been into Toyota for over 20 years, off road for 25, I do auto body work for a living (30 years) Riva certified rv body tech 15 years. I love forums and user groups and I am very happy to have found this site! I look forward to contributing here and reading stories and posts here
