  1. Hi everyone, Petemoss here. Some of you may recall my sad tale last fall, 2015. I owned a rather dodgy Dolphin. I was headed from Michigan to Kentucky for a hootenanny with old friends. Well, the transmission (automatic) had other plans. I sold it for nothing and caught a ride home. Helpful bros can come in handy! Well, I felt bad and confused. Maybe I'd look for one of those a frame pop ups. But craigslist showed me the way. I just bought an 85 Escaper with 88k miles. This a manual transmission and the FF one ton axle was installed earlier thus year. I'm off for my first adventure in this rig. Wish me safe travels!
  2. Yeah, thanks everyone. A big loss for me but happy the dolphin is going to a better place! I'll be back if I get the nerve to try this again. I'm back to the drawing board on my plans for this winter. Pete
  3. Well, I was making my way from Michigan to Kentucky last week when suddenly...smoke and no transmission. I have an 86 Dolphin automatic. It looks as though the fix will be more than I spent on the thing to begin with. The furnace, fridge, and oven all need to be repaired. This poor old tired baby also has considerable dry rot here and there. The rig is about three hours from where I live. Does anyone have ideas for me to sell this vehicle that will need surgery to the tune of 2,500 - 2,700 dollars? Thanks, Pete PS It died in Peru Indiana.
  4. Hello friends and neighbors. I just recently returned to Michigan after driving my new 1985 Dolphin back from Kentucky. So far so good. I hooked a new coach battery, small box on the side of the rig. It works but...every 30 seconds or so there is a tick sound followed by the lights dimming, and a few seconds later there is a "chirping" sound and the lights go to full brightness. This repeats over and over. The sound is coming from somewhere inside the electrical control panel. Any ideas? Pete
  5. This fellow is back on craigslist. I spoke with him when he last posted and had even set a time to meet (yes, in a bank parking lot). Then, later in he sent me a text that the sunrader was no longer for sale, his wife didn't want to sell it. I only live 25 miles away, but have since purchased an 85 Dolphin.
  6. No popcorn, no beer, no problem. And some people watch television for entertainment! I can't be responsible for the drugs you're on. I think we frightened the grad student back into his books. Remember the person who started this thread entitled, "Lookin to buy?" Who's on first?
