  4. Just bought a new Husqvarna tiller with the l & o on it a first for me. The motor is Briggs n Stratton instead of HP it's 208 cc also new to me.
  5. Hello Vermonter glad you had a fun safe trip! I left the Poconos and came down the spine of Virginia crossed over into southern West Virginia to the New River Gorge national scenic River.What an awesome place! Hung out there a few days and they were calling for bad weather for the next several days ,so I loaded up and headed for the house.Was gone 2 months and travelled 5,200 miles. All in all a great trip! Already planning the next one. Leaving Labor Day for Hungary Horse Montana and Lost Johnny Campground!

  8. Seven days in the 70's I had to hit the road! Went to Natural Bridge Alabama, largest natural bridge east of the Rockies. Made of sandstone, 27 varieties of ferns and hemlock trees. Boondocked first night Bankhead nat. forest. Presently at Pick Wick Landing state park on the Tennessee River sr discount rate of $9.16 per night with hookups!! Headed to Shiloh Civil Battlefield tomorrow.

  10. Just finished a 5,000 trip in my '84 toy and passed one vehicle. It was a double-trailer semi!
  11. Came through the Delaware Water Gap today. Slowly working my way South. Getting down to 24 here in the Poconos! I'd call that a 3 dog night in this thin-skinned toy.
  12. The Catskills are beautiful and in full color! Unfortunately the state parks are closed and the private campgrounds are closing. Did find a KOA near Woodstock opened till the 31st. Hard to believe with good camping weather and awesome fall foliage nobody's here!
  13. Been on the road 6 weeks, 3500 miles so far. I'm in East Canaan Conn for the night. Anybody know any good campgrounds or sites to see in the Catskills? Headed that way tommorrow.
  14. Had a great visit with Maineah! He plugged the toy in, fed us well and even tightened my alternator belt. What a nice home and a great piece of property with awesome views, plus a great wife! Thx my friend!
  15. Baxter State Park Maine has restrictions: no motorcycles or pets, no vehicles wider than 7ft, taller than 9ft, longer than 22ft! Ole Mr.Breeze got in!!! Awesome, the foliage was beautiful! I would rank the road in my top 10 that I've done which include the Alcan, Beartooth, Pacific Coast, Blue Ridge Parkway, Going to the Sun Road!

    I did get a lobster roll in Machias! Very good , wife didn't like it said it was too chewy.
  18. Been boondocking for awhile. Lady from my hometown picked us up on Facebook and invited us to stay at her 80 acre place 13 miles outa presque isle having a blast! Wife saw a moose come right beside toy with gen running. Rode to fort kent and leaves are starting to turn up that way.

    Taking a day off to relax, not leaving the campground we are cooking with a southern flavor! Blackeyed peas in a 2 quart crockpot, fried taters, fried spam and cornbread. Also pickled okra and pickled green beans!
  20. Acadia was Awesome! Went to the top of Cadillac Mountain in the toy, views were worth the trip! Bar Harbor was neat also.
  21. Thanks for the invite, we may just take you up on that! We'll let you know ahead of time. Few of the locals have mentioned Greenville may come through that way from Baxter.
