  1. Sorry for the serious lag time. I went out on a nice roadie and forgoe the rack in light of the trip being mostly inland. I travelled Vancouver to San Diego with a pregnant wife in the first trimester who was nauseous on the regular (I don't recommend a road trip with a pregnant wife). Anyway, I'm back on the surf rack exploration (hopefully as non-invasive as possible) and now child car seat placement. Looking forward to a SoCal mini trip next week and a NorCal trip in mid June. If you have time, check out my blog, which includes pictures of the SeaBreeze: http://theoliveexpress.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html Thanks again to everyone!
  2. Hey there rvers! I thought I would share my journey with you on my blog www.theoliveexpress.blogspot.com I'm on a six week journey started in San Diego and heading north up the 15 thru Utah, Wyoming, idaho, Montana, Washington, Vancouver, Oregon, and back to California. We are currently in the Tetons and heading to Glacier np. I hope you enjoy. Also, thanks for the tips. The Olive Express Ps. A tree shredded some of my fiberglass. Any suggestions for repairing or do I just learn to live with the scar and duct tape bandaid. Thanks!
  3. Best road trip I've ever had was along the coast a couple years back in August. We are actually doing a big trip this Summer and definitely passing through again. Newport was very cool place to stop because it was a quaint, town sitting on the Rogue river. If you like craft beers, the Rogue brewery is my hands down favorite. There is a couple of small streets north of the river that are walkable. There is a great seafood place that has been there forever. They also have a mini aquarium and science center. There are 5 or 6 other great coastals towns worth checking out, but of course, I can't remember anything without seeing the map again or the pictures we took. I'll try to look for them and re-post. There is another great place on a different river where they do all the salmon fishing, especially during the spawning season. I remember numerous walking, hiking, and look out spots for photos. Further north, before you get to the top of the state, there is a great stretch of ride along the cliffs. There is a famous lighthouse and some caves below. The whole coast is just terrific. I even saw my first whale there 30 yards off the shore. ENJOY!
  4. Hello All, I first wanted to thank everyone for taking the time to respond to this web site. There is a lot of helpful hints on here... so much so, I wish I had found it before I made my purchase... nevertheless, I am the proud owner of a 1993 Sea Breeze and excited for the adventure ahead... btw, I'm not the SCAMMER posted from earlier. I purchased this one in SD this past weekend. Surfboard Rack Time!
