If you are not going to install plastic you might consider using laminated glass, like the front windschield.

We must be lucky ours worked from day one and still does. One thing is you do not get the top lite on the voltage check unless you are charging the battery. But a careful reading of the fine print (hard to see with my old eyes) is the second from top is full for the battery check.

Saw 3 Dolpins in the park today, not including ours, and a Phoenix , which I've never seen or heard of before. Couldn't stop and take a picture, park full of HSBG festival. So http://www.motorhomeclassifieds.com/150806.html , is one.

At that mileage replacing exhaust shims not due yet, but if you have it done now no worries for many thousand miles after. Don't know about the seals but it sure makes sense if you tear it down that far to put all new seals in. If you are gonna put many miles on it you might well consider doing it now. That price would be good around here, but might be high considering they will have the heads off anyway to do the gaskets.

If it's still doing that you might want to check for a leak in the heat exchanger, there should be no mixing between the combustion gases and the coach gases. One of my first purchases was a good quality carbon monoxide and smoke detector, they eat batteries but with the vibration the rig gets it's good peace of mind.

I remember that post, great pics. Btw what is the drain plug in pict #3, gas tank? I also remember thinking thank goodness for the air bags as my rig has only 4 or 5 leafs in the spring pack I went out and counted 'em after seeing that post but do not now remember how many I have.

Around here they steal RV's too. I was worried about leaving my OB boat( 78 Tahiti Tiger Shark) & trailer alone while we were out at store or eating. There are a varity of ways to secure a towable trailer can make it real hard to steal, I did several and never had a problem, it's mostly showing potential thieves how hard and time consuming it's gonna be so they steal somthing easier. Just like securing a house, except with a house neighborhood makes some of the deterrent.

My Onan gen is thirsty and drains from the Toy tank, 17 Gal in my case. I carry 5 gal in a jerrycan, but have yet to use it.

When my Mom was living out in the woods the kind of small mice with a fanned tail were eating the rubber insulation on the wiring under the hood of her Dodge Caravan. Had to put plastic spiralwrap over everything, which worked. You could see the marks in the dust made by their tails, but no chewing on the spiralwrap.

I went out to measure my radiator and found 3, a small 8x4x1 at the top left, think it's the trans cooler? Next inside is the rad for the cab air conditioner, it's huge all the way accross the width and almost as deep as the coolant one. Next is the coolant rad measures 20" wide and is almost as deep. The amazon page says the Flex-a-Lite 674 is 16x18x41/2 which is much smaller than the shroud and rad stock set-up on mine. Yet many web pages say this is for the Toyota but do not seem to mention the engine size. Do the 4 banger Toys have the same rad as the V6's??? Also seems after this install you have a lot more room between the fan and front of the motor?? Second the request for pictures edit: Aluminum is a better heat conductor then brass or copper so maybe this could be true.

"I bought this one from Amazon http://smile.amazon....ailpage_o00_s00 " looks great, thanks. I'm gonna call them monday and see if that can come with the advanced controller kit, doesn't seem to show that on the Flex-a-lite web page. Also that's the excuse to get a higher output alternator, 19.5 Amps draw.

Is there something clear that we could put on the white plastic part that would help with the degregation???

Lots of Rangers around here, have a friend who had one(4X4) and waited for years and years for Ford to bring it back. He was a ford man but got a Colorado and loves it. I've been in it for a trip and it's plush, rides great and is quieter on the freeway than most cars, I see that 4X4's have come a long way.

Just went out and looked at mine. The casting slightly different than your picts. There is a black rubber gasket on mine. More interesting is mine has what appear to be studs coming up thru the top casting and there are washers and nuts holding it together. Whats unusual is that the ends of the studs are not threaded all the way up, but are tapered to what appears to be a male Torx!! I have a lot of Torx fittings for screwdrivers, but have never seen a Torx socket before. Wikipedia to the rescue, it's called a External Torx Driver. * A Torx successor, Torx Plus, was introduced about 1990 when the original Torx patent was expiring. The lobes are more square to allow for higher torque and to minimize wear. The name is shortened to IP (Internal Plus) with sizes ranging from 1IP to 100IP [16] (sometimes listed as IP1 to IP100 [17]) and EP (External Plus) with sizes ranging from 1EP to 42EP as well as smaller sizes ranging from H7EP to H2EP and includes five-lobed tamper-resistant variants.[16] The specifications for these licenses are held by Textron. Standard Torx drivers can be used to drive Torx Plus screws, but not to full torque because of the loose fit. Torx Plus drivers will not fit into standard Torx screws. * A tamper-resistant version of Torx Plus exists having five lobes rather than six, plus a solid post in the center, and is used for security as the drivers are uncommon.[18] Though Acument (formerly Textron) lists no designation,[19][20] TS [21] or IPR [22] may be seen. There's no end for Torx trying to get me to buy an everexpanding tool set.

Totem correct Derek, I meant non potable; typed so fast I skipped the non. and the fact remains, most people put antifreeze in the "fresh" water tank each year. I wouldn't advise drinking that or anything that touched it; unless one wishes to test their faith... you get the "I waited all month vulching on the pc for totem to misspell or skip a word and GOT him!" award. On almost every one of my posts I have to edit, mispelled words, bad puncutation, or the best " no one is going to know what you mean stated like THAT/// I never seem to see that when reviewing before I press the send button, only after it's up...

jdemaris Last two Walmarts I went to - they could not even come up with any new valves to fit the rims. Last guy forced in the wrong size valve, it got cut, and blew off when he tried to fill the tire. That's what I have heard here a lot. When I replaced all my stems I kept the 3 best as spares. That way I will probably never need 'em. ....
