  1. I say orginal miles very nice clean top and bottom . the numbers in those old time odometers. will roll over and reset just as nice . I have done it 77 corona wagen I took it from 62000 to 240000. turned it over twice but I think yours has never been there .
  2. the blower motor resister is held to the heater housing with 2 screws it gets hot if you run the heater fan on lower speeds any crap on that could make a stink maybe
  3. shifter is tuff to get in gear whin cold on a stick shift . how cold are you talking at 20 below 0 I have had to use both hands to shove a 5 speed Toyota or a 4 speed Datsun in too low gear . gear oil can get some what thick at very low temps.
  4. sometimes a water pump will leak more when you just start it up . with it off see if there is slop in the fan if there is bad water pump. I have had that happen but hoses may also leak when they are colder then normal . had that happen as well. I was thinking 22re water pump maybe you have 6
  5. I had a 1977 Toyota corona wagen 20 R with a electric pump in the tank .as far as I know the 1976 1977 and 1978 trucks celicas and coronas all 20r powered used the in tank pump .
  6. the ones I sent today too Derek are still in busness
  7. I don't recall the size of the fill plug on the side of the trans the rear axle is most likely 24mm.

does not fit a 22re. this is not the message system. please click on envelope for messages not the bell. status system is for my personal information

  11. saw them on the site for the Yakima napa but took me a while to find them will try to get a part number update part no is CRB 218827 price is 162.99 had to switich to not fitted universal fit on there site looks same as both of my 22res
  12. check my post on cold start valves as napa calls them  confused me took a while to find them

  13. up date on this topic seems to be no problem getting these new napa auto parts has a bunch . but there site calls them cold starting valves. about 100 dollors as far as I no these are new. I just bought the plug in for the 22re . and wired it to a old time starter butten. this is on my 88 4wd xtra cab. as far as I can tell my cold start c.ercuit has died no power to the injecter . will use it as a primer butten so far is starting up now at 20 degrees.near impossible to start below 40 deg before . wired direct to a line fuse to the battery .
  14. max would be a lot better then none for shure even where i live . i could not recall the details on that but yes i recall that only cuts in on the lower speeds . had moter freze up before
  15. i have done this remove and replaced the heater blower but was in 1987 truck same cab as pict above in those you can drop it out the bottem from under the dash. don t lose the screws they are a special breed.cant remember if you have too take glove box out or not .but remove that is not too hard . dont take dash out . there is also a resister mounted on the heater duct controls the speed if blown maybe no fan speeds .
  16. when you say winterized do you mean you blew it out first with an air compresser. my personal preference is to blow it out first then run it full of the red stuff. I would never say no problem then . but I haven't had any yet . and yes I open the drain valves first . I installed a water heater bypass I run a little antifreeze in the bottom then switich too bypass.
  17. there is a fuel pump resister under the hood I think is on one of the fender wells you need to check that . I will say I never had one of those fail , have also heard of people using an after market xternal electric pump.
  18. our local dealer here will jet them for you like was said follow there guide lines . and yes I have heard of people mixing up the jets on carbs only work where they belong
  19. would highly recommend special flare nut wrench for the fittings. much better then using open end type which tend to slip and round off the fittings
  20. now you know how the snake oil men sell bad used cars put a pint of bardauls no smoke in it on top of some heavy oil might not nock long enough to sell it some unsuspecting person . that stuff is about as thick as stp super thick. and the oil gadge will be up where it belongs till you change oil .
  21. guss I been wrong all these 45 years I have a dodge I use 15 40 in but in my old high mile Toyota xtra cab and my dolphin have always run 20w50 . used that penz for twenty years in a datsun . now less money using wallmart 20 w 50 but here in eastern Washington outdoor temp 110 to a low of say 96 could fry an egg on my hood yes sir fry my hands on a wrench set out for 10 minits LOL. Derek is spot on that is not my problem eather but if you want to raise the oil pressure gage with worn bearings. that is an old trick .
  22. I do a lot of free boon dock camping in the Washington cascades only go too rv park once a year . in addition lot pay small fee forest service campgrounds 10 dollars a night no hookups no water wast dumpster only.
