  1. I looked up the Gentron 3500 Watt and it may be the best one for us since our AC unit has 13,400 btu. The price seems reasonable ($478.00 incl. shipping) and the noise level is 67 db (something between the noise of a busy office and a vacuum cleaner!!) Now we just have to figure out where to store it. We do have a platform of about 20" welded on the back bumper but it has a very useful container on it. We would have to remove that container to put the generator on it....but how to attach it to the platform mmmmmmmmm Just thinking out loud. Christine

  3. Sorry to cut in on this topic but I'm wondering if your Honda generator would be able to power a roof AC. If so, when you say that it has an electric start does it have to be plugged into an electric outlet to get it going? I'm actually looking for a generator (reasonably priced) that we can use for our A/C and that is light enough for two women to lift up (we're are not extremely strong!!). Thanks for any help you can give us. Christine
  4. Reading your list of things to have with interest having recently begun to use our RV. Can you expand on the DC powered fans? Not sure what they are. Would they have to be plugged in the lighter in the cab? Christine
  5. Darrel: Waited for you and Gun to visit us in Kelowna on your way through Kelowna. Guess that you wanted to get on with your journey. Lots of miles covered already! Looking forward to regular updates. Christine and Val.
  6. The kitties get to stay at home they don't really like to ride, the Great Dane goes with us most of the time. I have a friend in Alberta and spend a lot of time in QC and NB. One if my dear friends is a young female First Nations singer/song writer.

  7. Two cats and a Great Dane! Wow!

Do you take them with you on your trips?

  8. I'm from Longueuil (Montreal suburb). My family is still living there. Came to B.C. in my early 20's for a holiday and I'm still here. I lived in Vancouver for many years and I'm now in Kelowna and Loving it.

My first language is French but I'm now using mostly English except for communicating with some family members.

  9. Nice to see there is another member from 'ma belle province"! I've been a resident of B.C. for many, many years but always a québécois at heart.

  10. Wow what an itinerary! You should come across lots of great wildlife along the way. Hope you will be able to come to the May 15th rally at the Steamboat Rock State Park. My friend Val and I are looking forward to take our first RV trip across the boarder to attend. Christine
  11. Sounds good to me. May 15 would be the best time for both Val and myself. I like the fact that it's not too far from the border for our first trip to the US with our RV. Let me know what would be the next step if it materializes. Christine
  12. Any specific place or date in mind? May would be a possibility for us. Keep us posted. Christine and Valerie
  13. Glad to meet another newbie!
