  1. If thier in good shape get a high quality masking tape and tape over them. The tape will say good for 14 days or some thing along those lines. Home depot/Lowes carry it. Comes in various widths. If you want it gone,go to a body shop supply or a good automotive store. They should have decal removing solvents or a rubber disk to put on a grinder that will get the most hard to remove decal off. I've used a heat gun to take them off but it's hard on your hands and will ruin the paint. Fast. Steve.
  2. Two Kellys--Being from Canada and having lived in the US for 23 years before moving back I can understand your frustration. Think how upset the Canadian who was comming back from Mexico was who spent 2 weeks in a US jail when he was stopped at the border for a minor 1 pot cigarette charge that was 20 some odd years old and was a CANADIAN offense. Drunk driving in Canada is a Federal offense like bank robbery and still they drink and drive here. As Nibs said it's a two way street and though it was always there it was only heavily enforced when the US demanded it. Steve.
  3. You Sir, are a brave, brave man. Rebuilt a few collectable trailers and know what you are going through. Steve.
  4. Tom--Sunrader Bob on the yahoo site has one.Get in touch with him and he'll tell you about them. They are very rare. Warning-- Any time you mention Sunrader to Bob make sure you have a comfortable seat and something to drink. You will be there for a while. Steve.
  5. Bunneys--Thanks for your note. You must have found an old thread of mine. Up until a year and a half ago I lived in the U.S. for 23 years.Once in a while I like to point out that the free medical, ect. up here isn't as free as everyone in the U.S.thinks it is.It sure is great though. Came back as I hadn't see the family for 20 years and it was time to retire. I'm working with a guy on the other Toyota site to buy a 1984 Nissan Sunraider. The price is right and it is all fiberglass. There was a Toy. in Seattle at one time that I looked at and it needed a 6 stud axel. Do you have your passport yet.June first is the deadline. My son lives in New Hampshire and is Mr.Toyota.Mostly Land Cruisers but he drives toyota pickups and repairs them when he has time. Kind of hate to tell him I'm buying a Nissan since there is a good chance he will be picking out my nursing home when the time comes. I'm in Cresent Beach and I'll keep in touch as there are a few toyota/mini motor home owners in the area and maybe when I get mine there are enough to get our own group going. Steve.
  6. T.A.J.-Not every one lives in Heaven. Just a lucky few. Steve.
  7. johnbutch-Daniel at www.giantrockrv.com has them or www.customcommercialwheel.com may. They do have them for american trucks. These are bolt on adapters that most people use. They are safe. Hope this helps. Steve
  8. Robert-Looks great and your still a member.Sweet. Steve.
  9. Perry-WOW! I've seen some blow out damage over the years. Every one is correct.Take it apart, look at the damage and make an informed decison. I've restored a lot of cars and you have to weigh the repairs against the replacement cost. My trade, for fourty years, was restoring antique furniture.I learned over those years there was very little that can't be repaired When you have to make a part for something made in the 13 hundreds and it of course has to be perfect it makes your hand shake as bad as yours must be. YOU CAN DO IT. Steve.
  10. Fisherman120 Yes I would guess car sales at the moment are hard. I waited to put my Soc. Sec. in, here in Canada and the fact I lived in the U.S. for 25 years is giving them fits. They just aked for a list of every place and the dates I lived for the past 65 years. They got all 18 of them. My Mom is 97 and still active and filled in the early years. I hope they hurry because I'd like to find a toy. and get working on it and that's where the money is comming from. Steve.
  11. Shoprat.-The car and truck people always stay with one color or at best a two tone paint job for cost and good looks.Graphics of some sort are used to enhance the job. Steve.
  12. Hi Dennis--That is why I asked if it was imported. The door is on the left so I thought more of England but the Japanese bought English cars before they made thier own so they were stuck with right hand drive. When you look at the first picture I think the steering wheel is on the left. What a great trip. Can't wait to see his pictures. Wish I knew more about the satellite system ADEL wants to put in.At 65 I'm trying to find my way through a computer for the first time.I'm sure the whiz kids will set him straight. Steve.
  13. Chris--What part of Canada are you in. I'm in B.C. south of Vancouver. Looking for a motor home too. The best bet is in the U.S. since something magical happens when they hit our border and the price doubles. Steve
  14. Adel-What ToyoGuy means is was your motor home shipped to Kuwait from the U.S. and do you see other Toyota motor homes over there like yours. Are they made there or imported. What is the length bumper to bumper? We think driving across the U.S. or Canada is pretty good but to drive through 10 or 12 countries is something else. Is Kuwait your home country? I'm in Canada on the Pacific coast in British Columbia. Hope you have a fantastic trip and keep us up to date. We'll have to take the trip with you through you computer. Steve.
