  1. Thanks Fred. I believe you are correct. I ordered aftermarket isolator [2 battery smart kit] and a new one wire alternator and bracket. My plan is to get the charging system running before I tear into the wiring issues. No dash lights, dome light, brake light, marker light or tail light currently. The high voltage also smoked the blower motor in the cab. She runs great though!!
  2. Greetings- I am the proud owner of a 1982 21' Sunrader. I bought it in Michigan and it has been sitting for at least 17 years. I decided I would drive it to California without much time getting to know it. We ran into multiple issues on the 2700 mile drive. The main issue that I'm having is that the alternator was outputting 23.4V and fried a battery then we changed the alternator [green plug 55a] and changed the voltage regulator [round green 6 pin 40a]. Now the alternator is not outputting anything. When I check the battery voltage while running its less than the voltage not running. The alternator red cable goes back to what looks like a converter. 36volts, three terminals. This thing is fried and non functioning [one terminal is burned up]. I'm kind of at a loss on where to start. Any input is greatly appreciated.
