  1. Hey Dennis, Are you still interested in Bainbridge in July? I've got the weekends open all July except for the holiday weekend...
  2. It's gonna take me WEEKS to surf through all the good info from you folks here. I must say I'm GLAD I joined. I've already learned lots about axles, timing belts, weight limits, cleaning out holding tanks, starting up propane, etc.! I now know why a friend of a friend damaged his. He bought an older Toyota MH two years ago (Photo attached) and straight-away took her from NH to CA and back. I don't know what model it is, but it must be at least 22 feet and has a nice full bathroom in back, side dinette and kitchen. The first leg of his great adventure was to meet us all at the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen where the photo was taken. Anyway, this guy borrowed a big heavy generator and strapped it onto the back of an apparently home-made frame attachment sticking off the back bumper? I know a little about small travel trailers and it looked pretty funky to me at the time. As it turns out on the way home something MAJOR cracked on the under-frame which cost him over $2k to fix. (He has dual wheels in the back so I guess it/was a 1 ton axle?) I'll bet it was because of that big generator weight on the back! (the other photo is of my new (old) 1978 20R, 4 cyl, 81,000 mile Mini Marage with a replaced axle from 1996.) I'm thinking right now about new tires, shocks and a timing belt but thats hopefully it for now. (?)
  3. Hi Dennis, I have to work those days but I get home by 5 pm - but hey I've got a BIG driveway; you're welcome to stay over and plug in here if you like and are on-route! Or whatever. I have a new job and don't dare ask to take any time off this summer until the Watkins Glen races...
  4. Dear Allen, Your reply helped me allot too as I'm also as a Newbie. I never know about the info the RV Store folks give me. They always seem to see a sign stamped on my forehead that says "sucker"! I'm printing out your reply and keeping a copy in my new (old) Toyota. Thank you!!
  5. Um, Hi, forgive me I'm a newbie here but would like to invite anyone interested up to NY: I was planning something in Central NY (close by me to start out with) the end of this June at Tall Pines Campground in Bainbridge, NY...check out their website at: http://www.tallpinescampground-ny.com/index.html. It will probably be my "maiden stay" with my new (old) Toyota. I could use some help figuring her out as this is my first Toyhome and I'm so excited but also somewhat nervous. If anyone is interested by all means join us! Looks like it will be the weekend of June 27-29th. It's a nice place next to the river; good fishing, canoeing, etc... Wish I had the time for MAINE, though!
  6. Hi, does anyone have any information about a 1978 Mini mirage? I'm new here and fumbling around a bit...
