  1. Jocko----sorry I misspelled your name. SgtMike
  2. Joko - before you hunt all over heck and high water for a new grey water tank, I would personally try to get some eternabond tape over it and see if that won't hold !! Clean the area of the tank real good, apply eternabond over the crack(make sure you rub it down good) then wait 24 hours and see if that won't fix your problem. Sgt Mike 91 Warrior
  3. If you have a console, as a passenger, you have to really struggle to get from the cab to the cabin. You can do it if you don't mind having to step on your seats and are good at twisting a lot. As for the driver's side--I wouldn't even attempt it! It's hard enough to get from the front to the back without a console. You have to be a contorsonist especially if you're a '6 foot tall drink of water. SgtMike '91 Warrior "Ka Makoa"
  4. Bought my from K-Mart...Works great and just high enough I can use it for an armrest..has both compartment, cup holders(2) and a plug to plug into the cigarette lighter and a rear 12V plug. SgtMike '91 Warrior
  5. Hi there --- had the same problem with my 91 warrior Colman A/C shroud. I took it off, cleaned it up good.. sealed the cracked part topside with good RV clear sealant, then I turned it over and on the inside, I eternaboned it.. works great and you can't see the repair from the ground. SgtMike '91 Warrior (AKA) Ka Makoa PS -- That's Hawaiian for "The Warrior"
  6. Maineah -- Is the 92 you're talking about, the same as one for a '91? Thanks SgtMike
  7. I've got a '91 Warrior and have been wondering the same darned thing. I got the knobs off and the shaft nuts off but how the heck do you get the radio to drop down..Can't get my hand up in there to do anything. So I'm interested in the same thing you are! SgtMike '91 Winnebago Warrior (AKA Ka Makoa)
  8. SPAM -- Who'd go RV'ing or Camping without SPAM???? Cube it-Slice it-Fry it-Barbeque it-Bake it-Eat it right outa the can!!!! You Name IT!!!!! SPAM will save all mankind....Just don't boil it!! It don't really taste good boiled! A bachelor's best friend when camping..MMMM!!! SPAM and MRE scrambled eggs..What more can a guy ask for! Would you believe that I have a SPAM slicer?? Yup they sell them in Hawaii..Looks like a big one of those egg slicers. Slices the SPAM into equal size pieces for frying etc...Ever see one of those??? Yup--SPAM, eggs and rice...Now that's a real camping breakfast!!!! SgtMike
  9. I mainly use my toy for local camping in the COE, and State Parks..With or without hookups. I have found that if you can find a source for the same MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) that the military use, you are two up on everything..I buy mine at either a military surplus store that have them or buy some when the Commissary at the Air Force Base near me have them on sale. They're not too bad tasting and are really easy to fix. Almost all of them have a self-contained heating compound in them that are easy to use too! Don't get me wrong---I would'nt want to live them all the time (Like I have done when I was in the Service). Be sure that you have some trash bags though---lotsa trash build up with these things.... I also use some of the dehydrated foods that they sell at the Bass Pro or Camping World stores....To keep clean up easier, everything I have in the TOY is stainless steel...Dishes, cups, silverware, and pots and pans..bought all of those things because I hate to eat on plastic or paper... OHHHH forgot to ask--what do you guys do when you're out in your TOY???????
  10. Hi Everybody! Just spent a few days at a mini rally with a bunch of old military retirees at this BIG RV resort in north central Alabama and gotta tell all of you a little about it! I pulled into this place a day early for the meet and got myself set up. Had all the goodies--power, water, sewer, cable, WIFI etc. Great place overall with great amenities plus right on a georgous lake. Anyhow, while I'm getting set up, I notice that this place has TT's, Fivers, MH's all over the place, but not one, repeat not one Class C in the joint. While I'm getting set up, right next to pulls in this beautiful, big $250 grand Tiffin (four slides of course). These were the hosts of the rally and soon others pull in also. Also sporting these big MH's--all completely surrounding me on all sides. At first, I felt like a guy that wore a plaid shirt and brown pants to a wedding. Sorta like the country boy who gets his first look at NYC from the street level. You know what?????? Great bunch of people!!!! No bias, no one sticking their nose up at my little rollin hootch. Just friendly as heck....of course all the wives had to look inside my toy and almost to a tee I got the "Isn't this just cute as all get out?" "I just love this cute little thing!" These people for the most part are full timers, but I found out that the RV'ing spirit doesn't matter when it comes to what you pull, push or drive. Just the comarade of the RV'ing. I heard them complain about how their satellite dishes were having problems locking on and one guy complained that it cost him $400 to fill up his diesel pusher for this trip. I do know how smug I must have looked when I told them---"well, I have a 13 gallon tank and it took me less that 3/4 of a tank to get here and that's doing 55 MPH (avg) and going through some really hilly country!" I think I'm looking forward to the next get-together! Just thought I'd pass this little tidbit on. SgtMike
  11. Yeah, but when I'm at a fullup campsite, I use the shorepower to run the fridge. Think I could save a little LP using the HOTT ROD thingy-and nly have to use the LP for cooking. (I'm alone, so of course I don't cook that much either!) TNX SgtMike
  12. Has anyone out here ever installed a HOTT ROD rv heater accessory to their TOY? I've been sorta intrigued about it since I read about it. Anyone?
  13. Hi Everyone--SgtMike here! I have a 1991 Winnie Micro Mini Warrior that I bought last year for a pretty low sum and dropped a Jasper rebuilt engine it. Runs great now. Has the 6-lug axle and all. Only major problem with it then was leaks around the front window over the cab and around the vents. I sealed this little booger up good and suprise---no leaks. Only problem I have had with this thing so far is where some low-life teenagers decided the rear end of the coach was a pretty good target for their pellet gun. Put a few little holes in the fiberglas and naturally the cops claim that since they didn't catch them in the act they couldn't do anything about it.. God help them in I get my hands on them. Oh well--decided it was easier to use eternabond tape over that portion of the rear where the holes are. It don't leak there now! That all being said, I have decided that most of my travels being local, I have become a VELCRO addict--I put velcro on the walls of the shower stall in a bunch of places--the easier to stow stuff like fishing rods etc. If I have to take a shower, I just remove the stuff that might get ruined by water and take my shower as normal. Gives me a whole lot more stowage space! Thinking I might put Velcro all over the place then taking the opposite side tape to what else I've got--bingo JUST STICKER UP! Just a thought!!!!!! SgtMike
