The owner said it gets 15 mpg don't know if that is Canadian or US gallons. It is very slow up hills, only 150go.

Derek, I was able to talk to couple that own the Heffalump. They bought it used in Italy and had it shipped to Ottawa. They have been traveling for 2.5 years. It is a 1993 vintage. It has been lived in for 23 years by various people.

k flies but there are horse flies. In 2008 on a road trip to Yellowknife I clocked horse flies at 45MPH. They can take a chunk out of you. Did not have cell service. I'm at Whitehorse now, got to take a shower and do laundry. The bed will feel good tonight. Speaking of bed I must hit the hay it's 11:35 and still light. Will post pics tomorrow.

Haven't had WiFi for awhile. I'm a Watson lake. Saw quite a few animals. Soaked in Liard hot springs, got relaxed. Fred was it you that has a sign posted here, if so do you remember where? The picture of rear wheel, I had a clicking for two days and in got louder, came from the left rear. Had all kinds of terrible thoughts. Turned out to be I had lost one of the screws from the plastic cover, it was flopping around. What a relief. Am expensive was inexpensive.

This is a update to my valve adjustment. Have put on 1800 miles since adj. The engine definitely runs smother and has more power. Going up hills is noticeable, do not have to down shift as soon, got more tork. The gas mileage is back to where it was when I bought it. Over the past 4 years it had declined, now I'm getting 14.44 mpg on 1200 miles and 6 tanks of gas. That is mostly highway miles. The best was 15.77/highway and worst was 13.208/a lot of city driving. On my road trip to Alaska, in Prince George now. Darrel 800 miles

I've made it to Prince George British Columbia. Driven about 1200 miles. Getting 14.44 mpg so far. No problems, no bears, no moose. Beautiful country. Darrel

Refridgerator run time on Propane
darrel replied to cliffhanger4's topic in Coach ApplianceTech Issues
My refrigerator does not use coach battery when run on gas. It is 110v and gas (propane). No 12volt. I have filled up the tank at least 6 times over this winter, of course I use it a lot. Darrel -
Will be heading out for Alaska Saturday the 10th. This will be the second Alaska trip for me. First one was in 2010 in a 1984 Dolphin. This adventure will be about 4 months. I will be alone until August when my wife will be flying to Anchorage to meet me. Got to see the Alaska state fair in Palmer. Got a large to do-see list. If there is anyone out there with points of interest give me me a jingle. Don't know how often I will have internet but when I do I'll send pictures. Darrel

Derek that picture is still making me shake. Darrel

I removed the cooktop-oven in my 84 Dolphin and installed a three burner cooktop, Made two drawers where the oven was. Both my wife and I liked it much better. Stopped a lot of noise and created storage. Thinking of doing the same in my 94 Warrior. We did not ever use the oven. Darrel
