  1. The generator on my motorhome just bit the dust. It's a 2.5 CMZ Kohler in a 94 Winnebago. Last week when I started the generator I heard a popping noise like a circuit breaker. It either came from the control panel or the generator couldn't tell. Now when I check the voltage it is only putting out 5, 5.2, 5.6, 2.4, 5, it bounces around. I have checked voltage at the wires coming out of the generator as well at the control panel, the same numbers. The on-off switch at the generator is working as it should. I revved up the engine manually and got voltage readings of 20, 30, all the way up to 70 volts but when it drops back to normal operating RPM it now puts out 6-6.2 volts. Is there anyone out there that can help me? Darrel
  2. Lee, That looks like a kick to operate.
  3. I wonder if you could request and get the valve clearances on each valve, before and after any adjustment and If you can would you post them so we mite evaluate where a potential trouble spot is. Just wondering because I have a 94 Warrior with 73K miles and am considering having the valve clearance checked. How many miles are on your engine?
  4. This is the camera I installed two years ago. Bought it at Costco for $99. It is wireless. I decided to wire the camera into the running lights. Cut a hole on the inside behind the middle running light and hard wired the camera. Have to turn on the running-head lights for power to the camera. The monitor has a button to turn if off and on, that way you don't have the monitor on when driving if you don't wont. Mounted the GPS and rear view camera on the right side of the windshield so it would not block my forward vision. It does not block vision for the passenger either. The camera works OK to good. It collects dirt on the camera lens so it has to be cleaned off, no big deal. It can be turned on in the daytime to see behind if you wish. Bright lights have a tendency to wash out the picture. I can see down to the bumper and both tail lights. Can back up to within 1" of object. Works great to hook up the trailer.
  5. I just looked at my engine compartment, 94 Winnebago 3.0 engine. Those two lines go to a black plastic "switch"? mounted on the bottom of the "power steering pump". Probably a sensor for ??
  6. My brother built this camp trailer. Not a Toyota but very cool.
  7. Yes that switch gets me often, whenever servicing, you'd think I'd remember.
  8. I also have a Winnebago, 1994. Back in 8-2014 the water valves started leaking. This is what I did to fix it. Went to a rv repair shop and bought valves then found out that the local plumbing store had a better variety. These valves and fittings fit your gray pipe and new semi-clear pipe. Look closely at the shut off valves , they have a arrow for direction of flow. I replaced all of the fittings and valves in that area, and the toilet, had to remove the shower pan to get to all of them. A plastic pipe cutter helps for a clean cut.
  9. My wife and I are starting on a road-relative road trip tomorrow. Leaving Grants Pass, Or to Peoa, UT for Thanksgiving with daughter and family, then heading southwest to Las Vegas to the other daughter and family. On the way home we plan on going to Palm Springs where my brother spends the winter. Then north, don't know if up hwy 95 or central California. Saw on the internet a hot springs called "Bog Hot Springs" just before Denio Junction on hwy 140 Nevada, plan on camping there for one night. Does anyone have any interesting hot spots they know of on this route? Free camping out of the way. Darrel
  10. I also have a 94 Warrior with a v6. I use "Valvoline MAX Life" full synthetic recommended for most GM, Ford, Toyota and Honda models. Drain and fill takes "3 Quarts plus 8 ounces" so a 1 gallon jug does it. I buy it at Walmart for under $20.
  11. It was not terribly bad especially if you are accustomed to going slow up the hills. Still cruised at 50mph on the flat. Will be hooking up the same boat to the Warrior in a few weeks. We'll see.
  12. I sold my 84 dolphin a few years ago with 138,000 miles on it. Had the 22r engine, ran beautifully and used 1/3 to 1/2 quart of oil for 3,000 mile oil changes. I still see it running around the neighbor hood. I know it was the original engine and I put 59,000 of those miles on it. Now I do not believe my 94 warrior will last that long but maybe, it runs very well. Now has 67,000 miles and I put on 31,000 of those miles on it. It does use 1/2 quart of oil between oil changes but that's because of a valve cover oil leak.
  13. It's 2.25" fir flooring tong and groove. Used Elmer's carpenter glue. Cut the tong and groove off the two outside boards to the width you want. My table is 23" wide. I then cut to width the end boards and used a biscuit joiner for strength. Used a router to smooth the ends and used Watco clear oil. Finished with Johnsons paste wax. It looks like you have the same model Warrior as mine. 94 Warrior model 321.
  14. I also went out with the old carpet and new carpet. Did new kitchen vinyl and cork in the bathroom. The vinyl is put down with a tacky glue. The carpet is commercial 2 foot squares, has a solid rubber-vinyl ? back and is not fastened down, floating. That way when it gets filthy I can remove it and put in a new piece. The cork I put down last year and was left over from my house. I painted the wood floor with a stain blocking paint as per instructions for the vinyl floor install. Got the carpet, was samples from a flooring store and cost 2 bucks apiece, used 8 for the job. Also made a new kitchen table.
  15. Years back I had a 84 Dolphin with a 22r. Loved that rig. After a few years of ownership a similar problem appeared, Sometimes not always the temp gauge would start to climb up towards the top of hot. Always after stopping, turning off the engine and examining under the hood, never found anything wrong, then start the engine the temp gauge would be where it should. I replaced the thermostat from NAPA, no change. I replaced the thermostat from Toyota, no change. Then I replaced the temp sending unit, that worked. Never had the temp gauge go any higher than normal operating temp from then on.
  16. Does anyone have RPM values for the 3 liter v/6 and automatic transmission with and without OD?
  17. This is a update from 1-2014. I have been using a version hotspot exclusively for this time. At home and on the road. Still love it. I do not down load anything, just search the net, post on Facebook occasionally, e-mail, etc. Using it now. have not needed any kind of booster. When we travel into Canada Version does not work unless we get and pay for extended coverage. Did have one problem, I forgot to turn OFF the hotspot when I finished using it one time. It was on overnight and cost. For every gigabyte over 5 it costs 10 dollars. You have to turn it on and off each time of use a bit of a nuisance. Therefore don't buy a larger plan than 5 gigabyte because if you go over that it still costs the same for each gig. I have come close to using 5 gigs but that amount seems OK.
