  1. Gottasmilealot, while that looks very similar to the one thepager5 and I have, it is not. If you look closely at the picture he posted and then at the one on page 26, you can see that the Bargman one is a smaller unit in whole than the one we have. It is not as tall and lengthy as ours, notice the space between the 4 outer bolts up and down. Then notice that our light looks like an actual square while theres looks more like a little rectangle. That is the one that I bought off ebay and ended up disappointed because it was way too small for the unit I have. Thanks for your help though. thepager5, any luck yet?
  2. That is a direct hookup to fresh water, meaning you can use all the water you want without draining whats in your fresh water tank. Just remember that your gray water holding tank doesn't inrease in size when you are directly hooked up to water and so it'll fill up much quicker. It is great for showering though, you can stay in the shower until your hot water runs out, but you'll have to quietly spring a leak into the bushes with your gray water.
  3. Hello there, I have an 85 Sea Breeze and unlike many of you lucky people who have the nice little dinette on one side, I have 2 old ugly captains chairs.. and I have been remodeling the RV to make get rid of the old look, girlfriend hated it, but those captains chairs do not look like they'd be easy to recover and I've seen one picture on the yahoo toyota moterhomes group that looked like he'd found some nice covers to put over his that looked every bit as good as a recovering. Just wonder if theres anyone else out there like me who found a great place to get covers or some sort of decent alternative? Thanks Kris PS - will try and post a pic of them later if that helps
  4. thepager5, Wow, you have the exact one as me, and no, I have not found the right size cover. I got a pm telling me to ebay bargman and I found one that looked right in the tiny picture they have, but do not order it, as it is way too small and didn't even come close to fitting. Please let me know if you succeed in finding the right size for our models as all those bargman ones on ebay do not fit ours. Luckily I only wasted about $2-3 with the gamble. I just emailed the contact address at the bargman.com website and will post anything that I hear back from them, I attached a copy of your picture for reference. Hopefully this gets us some where!
  5. Thanks to both of you for your advice. It was not the tanks, I had emptied them before returning from the trip so thats why I found it odd. However, I did open up the drain cover (broke it in the process, will have to find another one to replace it) and like Dennis said, it was completely clogged up! I poked at it for awhile with a screwdriver and knocked a ton of it loose and now the water goes right down it. Glad to have it working again now, just need to find a new cover to glue back down after I clean the 20 years of grossness off from under where the old one was.
  6. Hello, I have a 1985 Toyota Dolphin with one of those bathrooms in which the whole floor is a shower with a drain on one side. I recently tried to shower in it for the first time this last weekend camping, and the shower itself was awesome, great pressure, very warm, amazing for camping. However, the water just piled up on that base floor and would not go down the drain. I let it sit for 24 hours, then 48 and it doesn't seem to be going down at all. The drain did not look to be clogged or have hair or anything in it before I showered, it looked fine. Any ideas? I'm about to try some of this Draino type stuff you put down drains to unclog them but nervous about hurting something in the process. Has anyone else had this problem and found a good solution? Thanks!
  7. It could be worse, you could've had an automatic transmission that you burned out going over a mountain pass and had to spend $1,750 on a used manual 5-speed tranny to be installed like I did, but I'm now not complaining as the best gas mileage I would get before was about 13mpg and now I get up to 24mpg on the highway! These things are constant projects, but they sure are fun when they are working!
  8. Oh, I know what the deal is after looking at my own last night, I apologize, there is indeed a gap. However, there is a metal door handle piece that screws on which completely covers that cap and is used to pull the door closed from the inside when your only closing the screen, so that would be the piece you seem to be missing. Let me know if you'd like for me to take a picture or 2 of mine if it would help..
  9. I have just purchased a new one of those sliding plastic units recently after repairing new screen on my screen door and looking at your 2nd and 3rd pics, it looks to me that your plastic sliding door is broken.. it is not supposed to have an open gap like that, it is supposed to completely close off all holes. I purchased a new one for only $12.99 and to make things better, it is clear rather than brown so it provides more visibility.
  10. Thanks for your input Pat, I'll most definitely go with the 2000i then as I measured and it is a tight fit but does fit in my outside compartment for traveling. What is the best deal you've seen on a new one?
  11. I too have been looking for a generator for my 1985 Toyota Dolphin. I have been toying between the Honda 1000i or the Honda 2000i. I have tried out both, and the 2000i will run my AC unit just fine as long as its not in economy mode. Question is how often would I use my AC or a microwave? Is it worth the extra couple hundred dollars? Also, anyone know of an amazingly cheap place to get them? Have watched ebay and other local stores, and the cheapest I've ever seen a used 2000i go for was about $780 shipped. They seem to be around $999 in a local store and $899 on ebay new with nearly $100 shipping. The 1000i is quite a bit less and doesn't weigh as much, but will it serve your needs in the longterm?
  12. Hello, I have a 1985 Toyota Sea Breeze and bought it missing the lens cover to my porch light next to my door. I have been to 2 different RV stores that have catalogs to find almost anything and can't find a place to get a lens cover that fits this. I also have the same problem with the lens covers for the little square lights on the inside of the RV as well.. none of his fit because they need to have 2 nitches or grooves in them and none seem to be like mine. Is there some place that is easier to go for finding parts for these things? I just haven't had the best of luck. Thanks, Kris
