  1. I recently removed the old 3-way fridge from my 1985 Sunrader. I bought a small 12 volt AC combo fridge to use instead. Here’s the problem. Since disconnecting the fridge, my 12 volt lights and plugs don’t work unless I’m plugged into AC. They worked before. I checked for loose wires, fuses, etc. But all seems fine. I’m wondering if maybe the fridge itself served to complete a circuit somehow, between the AC and the DC. Does that make any sense? Hoping someone is familiar with this issue and can guide me. Thanks!
  2. I have a 1985 Toyota Sunrader (22r). Almost 100k miles. I recently installed Hkook VanTRa LT RA18 185R14 102/100R D Tires. Years ago, one of the experienced guys on this forum recommended I inflate the back dually tires to 55 and the front to 50. But the guy that put the tires on said I should inflate them to the recommended PSI on the tires (which is 65). I ended up putting 65 on the back dually tires and 55 in the front. But I am still wondering if/why it was recommended by this group that I put LESS than the PSI that is recommended on the tire itself? Would appreciate any wisdom on this. THANK YOU! .
  3. Thanks Linda. I was advised to buy this particular Sunrader (by folks on your group, many years ago) because it had the proper axel, with 6 lugs, so (although I don't know what full float means) I think I have the right kind. But the front 2 truck rims have 5 lugs. I assume I still use the same tires for all 6? Also, just to clarify... You wrote "The Hankooks are not that expensive and you need a C or D load range to carry the weight of your camper. Passenger tires won't do." But, you are still saying that these from Walmart would be the correct ones (not passenger tires), right? Hkook VanTRa LT RA18 185R14 102/100R D Tire (from Walmart) THANK YOU!
  4. I am looking for tires for my 1985 Sunrader. I know the size I need is 185R14 Load Range D or maybe a C. Would either of these work? (I am not sure what all the extra numbers and letters mean). (a) Hkook VanTRa LT RA18 185R14 102/100R D Tire (from Walmart) (b) Hankook RA18 185R14 D/8PR BSW (from Giga tires). Also, what do you guys think about the idea of replacing the rims, so I can use more standard size tires? Thanks for any help!
  5. I have a 1985 Sunrader on a 4 cylinder 22r. I would like to mount the Sunrader on a stronger, newer truck. Any suggestions, links, how-tos would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!
  6. The fridge in my 1985 Sunrader used to work. AC/DC/propane. Now, when I switch to AC or DC, there's a loud ugly sound and it's not working. Any suggestions on what part to check/replace? And where to get parts? Thanks!
