james
Hi all. My wife and I just bought an 89 Dolphin its our first motorhome. Unfortunately we got no manuals at all for it. Anyway, we filled up the propane tank (it is a horizontal tank) hooked the regulator to it, strapped it in its cubby and opened the valve. Went inside, turned on the stove burner and tried to light it, Nothing. No smell of propane at all. STILL NOTHING. ideas? Please help me out. I am gonna have many more questions so thanks in advance. Oh, if anyone has the manual for this 89 Dolphin, 3 liter v6 could you please e-mail it to me? Thanks again.

jjrbus
Start with bleeding the air from the system. This is done by turning on burners until gas is smelled. May take a couple minutes the first time.
Derek up North
There's also floating online a PDF copy of the 1993 Toyota Factory Service Manual (FSM) and PDFs of the various appliances. http://bryantrv.com/
james
Thanks. I'm not that good with computers but I'm on it. So the manual for the 93 is basically the same for the 89?
Derek up North
I doubt there's very little difference between the 2. The best you'll do on the net, that I know of. 1989 Dolphin Micro Mini.pdf

If all the gas appliances are inoperable, chances are its the regulator. Does your stove have a separate shutoff? Maybe underneath somewhere? RVdaytrader
When you try to light one of the stove burners you should be able to hear if gas is flowing...if no flow the regulator is probably the problem.

jjrbus
One of the things I am perfectly capable of is closing a valve and believing it is open!
