Palfreyman
So.... the aluminum siding of my 82 Rader is somewhat rough in places.. my uncle is a retired plastics engineer for a vinyl siding company, and still has connections to get me vinyl siding seconds/off-spec for next to nothing... (off spec being stuff that isn't up to snuff color/pigment wise and would be re-ground and recycled at some point if not used..) Any reason to not use vinyl siding? WME
For many years the real deal siding was Filon it was a corrugated panel about 4 ft wide so it took 2 or 3 panels to do a side. Vinyl siding is a lot narrower so you would have more chances of leaks and the corrugations are a lot deeper making windows harder to seal. But for the right price it might be worth a try
linda s
That's an awful lot of work for a maybe. Aluminum and Filon RV siding are still available. Linda S
