Make your RV hydrophobic. Get it at Home Depot. Its not perfect though, it dried flat, no gloss and can leave a whitish colored film. No problem, my Sunrader always looks that way ;) Rust-o-leum has also put out a new one part spray for fabrics, shoes, etc utilizing these chemicals.

looks like it would not hold up to road conditions on the exterior with rain, wind and dirt abrasion. Too bad :( guess I will have to apply another type of finish.

But it would make a clever party trick!

I'm afraid the video you linked was full of 'party tricks'. It reminded me of a poorly made, low budget infommercial. 'Research scientists' indeed. They looked more like baristas at Starbucks. :)
