sdboltdude Posted September 18, 2014 Share Posted September 18, 2014 I was messing around with old camera & power it off running lights that had a bad & short connection the + wire broke off solder and fell inside rv..so I took off kitchen cabinet sub wall to get to running light wires to pigtail & fix No-Go it was the running light that was dead center inside of wall separating bathroom & kitchen..No big deal..Drilled a hole for new wires & spliced into exciting running lights& got me thinking why not have backup camera & all wires tucked away inside cabinet sub-wall for a neater look outside & not running wires & rca video cable all over the place..So I went to Fry's and bought a backup 170* camera that is flush mounted with rv came with its own drill bit for easy install $45w/taxto go wireless I bought a fm 2.4gh video transmitter & receiver ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DOQAGO2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) not blu-tooth fm signal works better//for me//installed transmitter outside of sub-wall for better reception & installed receiver under dash..works good & better picture than my rca cable...getting ready to paint outside RV so RV skin is rough looking..
