18' Sunrader Closet Rebuilt

Recommended Posts

Finally finished rebuilding the closet in the Sunrader. Due to water damage on the floor I had to remove the original closet. I framed the closet with 1x1 and covered with laun ply. Inside the closet I used latex paint and the outside of the closet was stained and finished coated with lacquer. I am using a puck led light at the present to light closet.

Great idea. I have been wanting to remodel my closet in the dolphin. I don't think that the original is very efficient for my use.

Hi roy

how did you remove your closet as my 1989 21ft dolphin needs to have this done. have removed all visable screws and still held rock solid. reluctant to take a saw to it.

@ Dave, After I removed the frig I was able to get to one wall of the closet. The floor under the closet was rotted which made closet removal a little easier. I unscrew what screws I could find and used a sawall to remove the rest.

I used new wood to rebuild closet.

Hi roy
thanks for info. looks like am off to buy a sawzall? Local supermarket has one going for £30. Thought job could be done without attacking it with a saw. :-)
