pbjeeps
Any one know where the fuel pickup on the gas tank is for the genset? Apparantly some previous owner didn't like the genset and plugged the hose at the gas tank, but I don't see where it was attached.
Derek up North
Can't help you directly but don't rule put the possibility that a new tank has been installed which wouldn't have a connection for a genset.
linda s
My manual shows the fuel dip tube from the generator installed in the same fitting as the truck fuel line. The generator dip tube is shorter though. You would have to drop your tank to access it. Seems unlikely to me that they would plug it right at the tank. I would try to follow the line from the generator and see if it got crimped somewhere. Also a possibility that it's just glogged cause it's old. Maybe try blowing out the line and then prime to restart and pull fuel back into the line. One other thing. Is your gas tank full. Your generator won't start if the fuel level is down too far. It's supposed to be 1/4 tank but mine stops at about 1/3 of a tank. Saves you from using your fuel in the gen set and getting you stuck somewhere Linda S
