jparish Posted August 10, 2007 Share Posted August 10, 2007 Does anyone have any experience in converting the Toyota Chinook popup fiberglass body to another cab other then Toyota. I have a 78 but the truck portion is rusted badly. Was thinking of installing the fiberglass assembly onto a 1990 Dodge Caravan. I realize I will need to cut the carvan bodyu at some point. smokepolehall Posted August 11, 2007 Share Posted August 11, 2007 I assume the van is a front wheel drive with a unibody? Are you going to build a complete frame and weld to the cut off part of van? Thats a very iffy project. if you were to use another pickup with long wheel base and chassis it would be lots easier and cheaper! Better you than me and i am a pipe welder and fitter.
