Dometic 2410, frig not working on electric

Recommended Posts

We had our 2410 running on propane for five days with no problem, but when we returned home and plugged it in to shore power it's no longer working. Anyone have a quick fix?

Should be a plug there in the back that the fridge is plugged into. Check and see if it has power. Unplug the fridge and plug in a hair dryer or fan or light of some kind. That will tell you if it's getting power or not. If it is I have no clue but if not check your circuit breakers on your power panel. Might have tripped or might be bad and need to be replaced.

Where would we find the socketnthebfrig is or should be plugged into? This is a built in unit and access could only be from the outside of the cabin.

Yes fridge plug is outside. Find the fridge vents and open the bottom panel. You should be able to see an electrical outlet that looks just like home and the fridge should be plugged into it.The power panel is where your fuses are for your coach. . Inside on the wall or beneath the sofa but with clear access a metal panel that you can open. Inside are your 12 volt fuses and circuit breakers for your AC and fridge when it's on 110. They are for your inside 110 outlets too. Look around. Like your breaker panel on the outside of your house or if you live up north in the basement.

Well, after fiddling around with knobs a bit, we got the frig working on electric. Nada look for a place the frig plugs in, but although there is a wire, the actual plug is hidden and pretty much inaccessible.

These things were not meant to be easily fixed, that's for sure.

Yeah most of the cords were maybe 1 1/2 feel long it shouldn't be too far away it is on the back side you'll have to open the outside cover. The knobs are a bit weird and very hard to see with out opening the fridge (makes a lot of sense to open a cold fridge to change modes) glad you got it working.

Hi Ron & Sue, I remember looking at the back of your fridge. Yes indeed your electric plug is located up above the access door you have to stand on your head to see it. Glad you got it working. Here is web site that everyone should read, that is if you own a rv refrigerator www.rvrefrigeration.com then click on videos. Darrel
