Doug Richey
I recently bought a 91 Toy-Itasca Spirit 21ft. and with the Coleman Mach at full blast I get poor cooling even though the air feels pretty cool coming out of the a.c. Are these Toy-homes poorly insulated? Would a new Carrier or Duo-Therm make that much difffernce and will it also be difficult to heat in the winter? John H
AC technicians use a formula for determining the proper cooling. It has to do with identifying the temperature of the cooled air from the AC. I think it's something like 20 degrees below ambient temperature or it may be a set temperature. Use a thermometer placed in the discharge air. I think you could get the appropriate temperature at the discharge on the web. It may also need recharging. If the freon is low it won't cool as well. Be sure all the filters and fins are clean before investing in a service call. Good luck, John
