Hi all - I have an 18 foot Sunrader with a 22R engine (1982) with Calif. emission stuff. The problem is that when I am going up a steep incline (15%) or so in first gear, after about 1 minute huge amounts of blue-white smoke comes out of the exhaust pipe. After getting off of the incline, the problem quickly disappears. The RPM's don't seem to matter - I can go up the hill at 5 mph or 15 mph and it still smokes. The engine normally does not burn oil and runs just fine - compression good Etc. I suspect that it is somehow ingesting oil vapor into the exhaust system through the smog equipment but can't find anything in my repair manual that indicates how this would happen. I installed a new PCV valve but it didn't help. Has anyone out there had a similar problem or any suggestions?

Bill
