desertrat
My 9 year old daughter has pretty much finished our interior design. Not exactly stock, but it works for us. She (the motorhome, not my daughter) is going away tomorrow for a new radiator, to fix the AC leak and for new shocks. I'm hoping it's back before too long, as I have vacation to coincide with my daughters winter break from 4th grade. In case I don't get back here soon, here's wishing everyone a great Xmas and New Years. Hope others post photos of their rv's, inside and out. 84TOYRV
This is my first post. I must say that you all are an inspiration to a gal with a 25 year old Dolphin with a " brown Herculan plaid" interior. : P I have put in a new fridge, batwing antenna, and awning. The next renovation will certainly be the carpet and upholstery. My Toy is in storage, on the farm, for the winter. I'll try to get pics later. Meanwhile, I really enjoy this site. Now I can get to know lots of other Toy owners. : ) Next winter I would like to make it down to the jan. Quartzite Rally. My brother lives on an acreage by Bouse, Az. Thanx so much for the ideas! Merry Christmas and Happy Trails in the coming year!
Linda Kay
Here are some pictures of my 18' 1989 V-6 Sunrader. I purchased in April of 09. Upgrades made so far are: 1. New brown suede curtains with blackout (white) lining installed throughout (dinette area, door, wrap around windows over cab, privacy curtain for upper bed area, and privacy curtain between cab and RV. 2. New cushion fabric and foam for dinette cushions in rear. 3. New "smaller" table for dinette area, along with new cushions to make this table into bed. New bed width is 30" for 1 person. This allows additional seating area on both sides of cushions once small bed is made up. If larger bed is needed for trip, I just re-install original large table. 4. New Progressive Dynamic Power Converter - 60 amp 5. Light installed that lights up when refrigerator is connected to shore power 6. New LPG Detector 7. All light bulbs changed out in original fixtures to LED bulbs 8. New 3" latex mattress pad added to overhead cab bed 9. Fabric screen door 10.Removed stainless steel folding stove cover and put almond colored cutting board on stove. This allows additional food preparation area and sits behind stove area against wall when stove is in use, works well as back splash board for wall area while cooking. I do not use this to cut on, have a 10"x10" wood cutting board for cutting. Love my Sunrader Edited January 4, 2010 by Linda Kay
85mirage
Nice Yoda linda .Wow alot of upgrades since april nice work! Try resizing picts as they are very big to view. Right-click on image when viewing them as thumbnails then click resize picts. A fellow poster taught me although i needed to update my browser. I was thinking of upgrading converter what can you tell about the process. Do you need an inverter when not plugged in. Thanks mAtt
Linda Kay
Unable to adjust picture size, sorry they are so large. I tried what you indicated but re-sizing did not come up when I right click. As for the converter, I was told by a member of the group that has a Sunrader that if I got a 60 amp Converter it would fit into the exact space where the old was and would require no modifications in order to install it. I did not install it myself, I had someone do it for me. I was told the 60 amp is the one I should get. I bought the new Progressive Dynamics Inteli Power Converter - 60 amp, on e-bay, price of converter when I purchased it in Oct 09, was $157 + cost to have it installed. I also found on I believe this web site under files directions along with pictures of how to install the converter. I also have an inverter I use when not connected to shore power to run my speakers for MP3 player and re-charge it, and other small items I need 110 power for. Above my refriegerator there is a DC plug where I can plug it in. I purchased the inverter on amazon.com for $28, it is a Cobra CPI 480 - 400 watt - It is small (5 1/2" x 4" with a 22 " DC plug/cord length also comes with cables for direct-to- battery) and has 2 AC outlets and USB outlet. It says to not exceed 150 watts. Higher than 150 watts you would need to use the cables for the direct-to-battery. I am very happy with it due to its size, price, 2 AC slots, USB slot, plus had different protections built into it. Everything one can want in a little inverter, plus it is very quiet. Hope I have answered questions you had. Linda
krj
I had trouble resizing pics for a while too. Someone here(I forget who) turned me onto shrinkpictures.com. Super easy and works well. Here are some shots of my interior, I haven't gotten as far along as Linda has! Unable to adjust picture size, sorry they are so large.
