oil? real quick

what kind of oil should i put in my toy? i am used to it saying on the cap right on the engine. but this is not so. its an 1984 sunrader 22r engine. thanks!!! i am also planning on putting up some pictures of the things that i have no idea what they do within the next couple of days

At this time of year I am using 15/40.

The owners manual says the the recommended oil

in operating temps from O to 100 degs, is 20/40, and shows 20/50 for the higher temp range.

It also shows using 10/30 if you will be operating the rig at -10 degs.

general consensus is that Synthetic oil is not a good choice for these older motors.

I've run Mobile 1 full synthetic with a quart of Lucas Pure Synthetic Oil Stabilizer

so I never have a dry start. This works great for my '84 Dolphin. Has never used a drop of oil.

I use 10-40w with 105,450 miles does not use any oil at 3,000 mile oil chane, dino oil. Darrel
