Pedal seems pretty soft... won't pull in any gear forward or reverse... smell burnt fluid.. won't even engage a gear with engine off and i push the lever into a gear... weird... it was just fine just fine then wham nuttin... nolan Posted June 17, 2006 Share Posted June 17, 2006 On the subject of Toyota clutches, just for what its worth, heres a few pictures of what they can do at very high RPM's (about 9000) 84 4x4 truck, looking at floorboard through where the glove box is,(was) the heater and AC evaporator units, and the front of the 5spd tranny surprisingly the engine suffered no problems other than some external pieces that were blown away.
