It was a result of whats called "spam-bot (automated script) registrations". The low life of the world have noting better to do than try every way they can to break into web sites and wreck havoc. Hopefully I have fixed the problem with the just released software update to fix the problem. For more information see the latest news article http://www.toyotamotorhome.org/forums/inde...?showtopic=1512

...... no the PINK is gone? :bye2::rip_1:

j/k. The blue is nice too!

I run an IP.Board forum as well and was struggling with those damn bots, even with captcha enabled. The final solution was to add a custom profile field that has stumped those bots for 2 years now! Basically the bots can only enter what they "see" not what they "read". It works so well, that I have actually removed the captcha. Some of those letters are just so hard to read anyways.

The field is something basic like enter the numbers <six-five-seven> just the numbers no spaces: users input 657

Or something similar where the numbers are written. For our boards we came up with this:

Ok just something to try if they still manage to get past the new captcha.

Not sure if you got my pm, but it appears that you have some bots that managed to wiggle in before your new software/recaptcha. You have to ban or better yet just DELETE these members from the forum board. These bots that got in around OCT 3, are now Toyotamotorhomes.org members. The new software appears to be working great to keep NEW scum out, but the old ones that got in still need to be eradicated.

Here are some bots that I see on the site: Some are PORN bots and some are just SPAM bots.

I like that! You should post this to the IPB forums. As for the spam posts I think that they got in before I did the captcha upgrade. Got your PM just as I was walking out the door. I think I got them out. I suspend them for 40000 days as instead of deleting.
