sunrader2000
I'm trying to replace this very cracked old fill on an 84 Toyota Sunrader 4X4 with a new telescoping water fill spout. I've removed the screws but it doesn't just pull out the way I expected. I don't want to break anything by yanking it out if I'm supposed to do something else. Has anyone done this? How do I remove the old one? And do you think this new one will fit?
bufbooth
There should be a hose attached to it that connects it to your water tank. You will have to disconnect the hose either at the filler spout, or at the water tank. Disconnecting at the water tank would probably be the easier. Dennis... picklebill
Hi - If it is like ours, just remove the 4 screws that retain it and carefully pry the filler unit loose with a small putty knife. It will probable be pretty stuck on by the sealant behind it. You may have to remove the filler hose from the tank to get the filler assembly out far enough to remove the hose from it ( I did). Hope this helps. Bill
