Homer
Good morning: I put 3 tanks of premium gas through my SLE and it produced 15-16 MPG. I then ran 2 tanks of regular gas through it and only got 13 MPG. The premium seemed to run the 22re better. I guess that from now out I will prefer premium in it. These tankfuls were going to the same campground under same conditions. 3 mountains to climb one way. 6 total on a trip. Someday I want to travel on flatland for a change and see how it does. These are my facts and figures so far 'homer'.
Riverpark Eric
I get about 12 MPG, but that's driving about the largest Toyhouse made...a 22' Odyssey. I use overdrive constantly and see results.
waiter
Eric, I have a 21ft Dolphin. I try and use OD, but if I find it popping in and out, I just turn it off.. Seems I can use it if I keep the speed below 55, OR, if I have a tail wind. John Mc
darrel
GAS MILEAGE, What a debate. We took a 2,767 mile road trip this past may. Left southern Oregon to Las vegas, to Peoa,Utah, to Reno , then home. Put the 84 Dolphin on cruise control at 52 MPH.Would increase speed down hill and slow down up hill. Got 19.28 MPG on that trip. Took us 29 days thats 95 miles per day. We use regular gas most of the time, sometimes we get a ping at sea level and premium gas in better. We have put on 46,000 + miles since september of 2007. wanderso
Newbie - 1991 Winnie Warrior 3.0L V6. 13.99 on our first trip, relatively flat, using Oregon's 10% ethanol regular fuel. Most of the trip was 55-60, except for about 20% of it at 65 MPH. Accelerating with care. I suspect that I will get 1-1.5 MPG better when I get a chance to gas up in Washington. David - with your rig being so similar to ours, I'd like to hear if you've done anything special to eek out a couple more MPG than I've seen so far. CME
Ours is a 78 Little Chief with a 22R hybrid, 18'. Over about 3500 miles this past winter we averaged around 17.6 Always thinking of upgrading the carb and air filter but $600 buys a lot of gas!
