Sorry all, my Haynes 92075 manual has been ordered, but it's on a slow delivery schedule, otherwise I'd RTFM so as not to sound like a noob...

I have the floating rear axle on my '86 New Horizon, one lug nut is missing & right next to it, another is missing with the shaft sheared off.  I see photos & even the part reference here on the site in other posts, looks like it isn't just pressed in as I'm used to seeing, instead I see it's pressed plus has threads & a nut on the back.

I've had to re-write my question here a few times, as each time I write it, I see I have it wrong.   How do I remove the broken shaft, since I think I have to remove the back-side nut, then somehow pound that busted stuf from the rear?  Hopefully not removing an axle, but I'm all ears & eyes....

PS:  if that stud which is sheared off is broken below the "collar" (which it is), can I just drive it out from the front?

Thanks for your insights.
