Overdrive over ride

Is there a way to override the Altimeter? In Reno we are quite high in elevation and I would like to use the OD going down hill and what not

Why? going down hill it would use 3rd  range as braking easier on the brakes. Good ideal to turn it off unless you are on dead flat highway any way. Because there is less O2 at altitude the engine efficiency is reduced (read less power) even if the road is dead flat that's why the OD is turned off above 4,000 feet the poor little MH needs all the help it can get.

I hear you all and understand when going down steep grades lower gears easier on the breaks but I have a long 30 miles slope down hill in my area of travel and I would like to coast and have the motor at a lower RPM

Won't do any damage to the engine and sure will do a lot of good for the brakes.
