Vignale
Hi all, I'm new to this forum, I'm from Holland..... hope someone can help.... My friend has bought an old Toyota Hilux (or is it hi ace?!) Dolphin motorhome, but I suspect the master brake cilinder has worn out (bled all the brakes, then for a short while it's good, but after that the pedal sinks to the floor) So I want to buy and mount a new mb cilinder, eventually a fitting brake booster too, but searching the net confuses me: the ones which look the same as my friends, has 4 mounting bolts connecting it to the booster, but we have a 2 bolt mounted mb cilinder. (see picture) Can someone please point me out to which mb cilinder I should buy? Are there maybe newer replacements for them? maybe together with a new booster? (single or dual?) Any help would be much appreciated and thanks in advance! Chris.

Derek up North
The best I can offer, unfortunately. I have zero experience with the Hilux from the 1970's.
Derek up North
You might also look at 1978 parts. The part numbers appear different to 1979.
linda s
I think Derek nailed it. This master cylinder sure looks like yours. For a 1978 pickup at Rock Auto Linda S
fred heath
You’re correct Linda. 1979 was a transition year for Toyota trucks. The easiest way to determine the correct parts is if you have 4 headlights, you order parts for a 1978. I recommend you change the booster at the same time.
