Warrior97405 Posted April 22, 2018 Share Posted April 22, 2018 I tried to reseal the side seals with caulking, rain hit it before it dried. When it dried it did so with caulking streaked down the sides. What is the best way to strip it without damaging the fiber glass? I want to strip it down and wax it. What are the best products and techniques to strip it and wax it. The streaks are thinner than a normal line of caulking so the credit card trick doesn't work. I have tried dissolveit and witch hazel and other random store cleaners to get the black dots off of the fiber glass. It's a slow process and I wonder if there is something more effective. linda s Posted April 22, 2018 Share Posted April 22, 2018 Most of us use Barkeepers Friend to clean up and polish our campers. Bet it would work for you. Kind of like Comet but no bleach and not so abrasive. If it will get 10 year old burnt up black stuff off of a pot without scratching the stainless steel it will probably work on those spots. Use it anywhere else your camper has lost it's shine too. Use with wet rag.
