WME
Its an ongoing struggle to keep the engine, exhaust heat out of the truck. Reducing sound is much needed. Many companies offer something that they claim does everything, but this company has a product line that will mix and match to do what you need. Their heat shield is a 1/8 thick fabric that will with stand 1800 deg. It reduces heat by 180 degrees. So check out the entire product list. https://www.heatshieldproducts.com/automotive/sound-insulation
Bob C
I simply bought a hood liner from a wrecked Cadillac and slipped it under the hood of my Toyhouse. I did not do any scientific heat reading before and after installation. I think it made a difference in engine noise that gets to us in the cab. I will eventually install carpeting and a firewall mat to cut down the noise and hopefully the temp in the cab also.
